Ba Vi National Park situated on the Ba Vi mountain, Ha Tay province. It is about 50 kilometers west of Hanoi. Leaving all the noise, heat and dust of Hanoi behind, we go to Ba Vi National Park to enjoy the beautiful landscape and fresh air. On the top of the mountain, we can contemplate the surrounding landscape. In the distance, shadows of mountains disappeared into the clouds, streams meander through the valleys and paddy fields spread out toward the horizon. It was a lyrical and inspirational view. Ba Vi national park covers an area of 7,377 ha with diversified flora including 1,700 species. Ba Vi supports abundant fauna such as 44 mammal species, 114 bird species, 15 reptile species and nine amphibian species. With a relatively favorable climate, good infrastructure and proximity to Hanoi, Ba Vi national park already attracts large numbers of visitors. Sightseeing: Saint Tan Vien temple was built in the 11th century. Saint Tan Vien ( Son Tinh) is a legendary hero, who had helped ancient Vietnamese villagers in their hard struggle against flood and protect crops... Mau Temple is on the top of the mountain. From here, you can view all the spectacular landscapes. Ho Chi Minh President temple was built in 1970. Vong Canh peak with a veil of cloud, animal reserve and medicinal herbs garden attract many visitors. Specialties: Wine with queen bee’s honey, cake made from glutinous rice, ginger and sugar ( che lam), cake made from sweetened condensed milk (banh sua), bitter tea. You can buy pollen and honey here. How to get there: You can go by bus or by motorcycle. It’s about 80 kilometers from Hanoi to Son tay. Sometimes it is very difficult to go because of dangerous bend and sloping road.
