An Xa Village Festival
Time: The 1st day of the twelfth lunar month.
Location: An Xa Village, Toan Thang Commune, Kim Dong
District, Hung Yen Province.
Objects of worship: Village's tutelary god Anh Lang -
Duc Van Royal Highest in the reign of Hung Due Vuong who
had merit of helping people in the region to escape
famine.
Activities: Ceremony of recalling the embodied day
of the An Xa village's tutelary god.
Duong Phuc Festival
Time: 16th day of the eleventh lunar month.
Location: Kim Dong District, Hung Yen Province.
Objects of worship: Village's tutelary god Trinh Phuc Tu
Hoa Doan Trang Thanh Mau Royal Highest who died but
always appear with supernatural power in helping
villagers to avoid robbery danger.
Activities: Commemoration of the embodied day of
the village's tutelary god.
Kim Dang Festival
Time: The 17th day of the eleventh lunar month.
Location: Kim Dong District, Hung Yen Province.
Objects of worship: Village's tutelary god - Te The Ho
Quoc, and his wife Moi Nuong Trinh Thuc, who assisted
Dinh Tien Hoang in quelling 12 vassals.
Activities: Commemoration of the embodied day of
the village's tutelary god.

Thai Binh province:
An Co Village Festival
Time: The 15th day of the eleventh lunar month.
Location: Thuy An Commune, Thai Thuy District, Thai Binh
Province.
Objects of worship: Village's tutelary god - Nam Hai Dai
Vuong - Pham Hai who had merit of encouraging people
produce, protecting crops, excluding natural calamity,
epidemic diseases.
Activities: Procession of tutelary god,
sacrifices-offering ceremony (24 worshipping people wear
felt hats, mandarin's boots, armour with specific
ceremonies), chess playing, wrestling and cheo singing
in the yard of communal house.
Traditional festivals in
Hanoi City:
Manh Tan Village Festival
Time: 10th day of the eleventh lunar month.
Location: Manh Tan Hamlet, Thuy Lam Commune, Dong Anh
District, Hanoi.
Objects of worship: Duong Giang, Ly trieu Quoc Mau
(mother of the country of Ly Dynasty).
Activities: Palanquin procession,
sacrifices-offering ceremony, traditional wrestling.
Traditional festivals in
Ben Tre province:
Phu Le Communal House Festival
Time: From the 18th to the 19th day of the third lunar
month (Ky Yen Festival) and the 9th to the 10th day of
the eleventh lunar month (Cau Bong Festival)
Location: Phu Khuong Hamlet, Phu Le Commune, Ba Tri
District, Ben Tre Province.
Objects of worship: The village's tutelary god.
Activities: Ky Yen festival: praying for good
weather, Cau Bong festival: praying for good crops, god
honor-conferring diploma procession, worshipping Tien
hien, Hau hien (sages of former time who breaking ground
and opening rice paddies), boi singing.
