National Tourism Year 2013 themed ‘Red River Civilization’ will kick off in the northern city of Hai Phong on May 11.
The event aims to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Phong.
The celebrations for National Tourism Year 2013 will include a wide range of cultural activities such as a Red River food fair; international tourism exhibition; festival of traditional trade villages; art performances; and folk games.
Neighboring cities and provinces including Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh will also organize numerous cultural and tourism events throughout the year to celebrate National Tourism Year 2013 and promote regional tourism to lure tourists.
