As many as 24 businesses have committed more than VND27.5 billion
to the 2012 Danang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC).
This was announced by the Danang Municipal People’s Committee at a press
conference on February 16.
The competition, themed ‘The colour of Danang’ will take place on April 29-30
with the participation of teams from Canada (competition winners in 2008), China
(2009), France (2010), Italy (2011), and the hosts Danang.
Related cultural and sporting events, including a culinary festival, a fashion
show and a music programme, will also be held as part of the DIFC.
A stand for spectators will be constructed, with sections A and B at the main
stage providing more than 9,000 seats, and section C, nearly 16,000 seats.
DIFC organizing board will sell about 16,000 tickets, with prices ranging from
VND200,000-VND300,000 per person per night, from outlets in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh
City and Danang.
